In the Kingdom of Thailand, the government established an organization called the Sustainable Tourism Special Area Development and Management Organization in 2003.
Establish policies and strategies for developing and managing tourist destinations. Currently, the following three areas are designated as special areas.
Churn Islands and its surroundings
Koh Chang is the second largest island in Thailand on the Gulf of Thailand. There are many mountains on the island, and it is famous as a treasure trove of beautiful nature such as rainforests, coral reefs, and waterfalls.
Chiang Mai Night Safari
A safari park in Suthep Pui National Park, where more than 1000 animals of about 103 species are bred. The park is open from 18:00 to 24:00, which is the time when nocturnal animals can be seen.
Pattaya City and its surroundings
Located in Chonburi Province, it borders the Gulf of Thailand and is famous for beach resorts and marine sports. See also the article “Pattaya Special City Law”.
